Is there anywhere i can go dolphin watching in aberdeen? |
Travel Info Is there anywhere i can go dolphin watching in aberdeen? Travel Tips Not quite Aberdeen but towards Inverness there are regular sightings of both Dolphin and Whales . I believe there are boat trips which almost guarantees a sighting as they go out to the feeding grounds , also visit some small islands for Seabird watching , Gannets and Puffins especially popular. Hope this helps. Source(s): Live in a small fishing village near Fraserburgh. Other Travel Tips Not off Aberdeen, but slightly further North in the Moray Firth there are pods of bottle nosed Dolphins. Not sure when is the best time of year to see them though. I don't know - I haven't seen any at the beach at all We do not have a sea life place anywhere The best place is up on the Moray Coast, banff, nairn, peterhead, the whales go up there on their journey to mating grounds, there might be dolphin's too - but I'm not sure when that is, I know Moray council organise trips and events at that time. Like the rest...you need to head north a bit - try cullen. There is a shop on the main street that logs all the sightings - might be a good first port of call. Even if you do not see any dolphins - the ice cream shop in cullen sells the best ice cream in the world!!!! I live in aberdeen and my flat mate said she had seen dolphins when we were at the beach once-she said she went to the end by the harbour-went on one of the oil rigs and saw them! but doubt you will see them in the winter months more likely in the summer when the sea is slightly warmer!! |
