Travel adelaide?

Travel Info
How long does it take to drive from Adelaide to Sydney? Any attractive places worth stopping in between? Which road shall I drive?

Travel Tips
Yes, it is a two day drive, at least. The long route may take three days, and is well worth the extra time. First, follow the coast road south go through Nelson, take the river trip to the cave, then on to the Twelve Apostles, and on to Melbourne.
Next, decide how much more time you have. If you must "make time", go on to Albury and then to Sydney.
If you have more time, Take the M1 east to the A1, and do a leisurely drive along the coast. Allow a couple more days and enjoy! If there is no time, and all you want to do is get from point A to point B, consider putting your car on the Indain Pacific, and enjoy the luxury of the train. It is about two days and a few hours with no driving concerns...
The fastest way to get to Sydney by car is probably to go accross through Broken Hill to Dubbo. Allow two hard days of driving, and take plenty of water in case you break down. The zoo in Dubbo is worth seeing. Enjoy!

it takes 2 days with stops... one overnight. i have no idea which road... look at a road map
*i think u shd go to google ----- they have very good road maps !!!!!
It is about as far as from Houston to Washington DC, but lacks a highway system anything like that in the US, so I chose to fly. I got a special deal through Qantas called a Kangaroo pass that allowed me to "hop" from city to city, five segments in all, for a reduced fare. There is a nice animal reserve there where you can walk into paddocks of kangaroo and feed them and be photographed with a Koala bear. There is a large island just off shore where all the wildlife roams freely. I found that you have to make reservations to go over there a few days in advance though. There are some really interesting cliffs outside of town. I chose to visit New Zealand first, then flew to Sydney to go through Customs, then on to Adelaide for a couple of nights, then to Alice Springs for a night, then took a bus to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Olgas. The trip was in their winter time and to see the desert to green and in bloom was wonderful. From Uluru I flew to Cannes and loved it so much I decided to spend a whole week there. Then I flew to Sydney and finished my excursion seeing an opera in the Sydney opera house and bought some black opals. I arrived just before th opening of the Summer Olympics so I got to see the Olympic grounds. Enjoy it.
