I am curious to know how Americans perceive India? How do they think the people are, the cities, and other things?

I'm from America. They usually think of Indian in the US as to own convience store like in the Simpsons or to be doctors which often comes up on TV. Most of their perceptions come from TV. When they think about Indians living in Indian, they think about computer tech guys answering phones to solve American computer problems, since US's jobs are being out sourced to India. But they do think Indians to be really smart. As an Indian myself, people do perceive me to be very smart but in reality, I'm nowhere near it. They do believe India is a beautiful county, based on there traditions and culture and food. |
