Lots of special things about Ahmadabad. Though it depends on your purpose of visiting I am putting down few here..

If you are a food lover, the place is like a heaven. You get all kind of food here. Not very expensive too. Something that I failed to find in most of the big cities in our country.

People here love to enjoy everything. Be it any festival or Indian cricket team win. We invite all the people and welcome all. Unlike few other states of country.

Unlike Bangalore, we work for 6 days a week. It is only Sunday we get to chill out. But as said earlier, people here love to go out for movies and food. At present there are 7 Multiplexes already and few other are coming up.

Compare to cities like Delhi, Kolkota or Bangalore, Ahmadabad is much safer to live. Anybody can stay out till late night. I used to go out to have food around 2 am at times. Communal riots used to be an issue during some time of the year some time back. Now it is much better due to better administration and evident growth the state has managed to achieve.

The infrastructure is super. AEC, Ahmadabad Electricity Company is one of the best service providers in the energy segment. Roads are great and on the way to be greater.

As far as industry is concern, it has lots of business related establishments in cloth and pharma. What it doesn't have is IT industry. Which again is a mystery as Ahmadabad has it all to have it. Because of this people like me have to shift to city like Bangalore.

people are really good. Only thing is hot weather which one may not like. Very safe city. Auto guy when you hire from rly station or air port, they may charge you more than actuals. But autos taken from some where else usually charge as per tariff.
Resident of ahmedabad
