U.S Airport/airplane rules? |
Travel Info Right so I'm flying to Los angeles next saturday from the UK. I want to bring a medium shoulder bag with the usual girly things in it make-up, perfume etc. on the plane. is that allowed nowadays? oh and also... do you think those studded belt thingies will ring at the security thing??? Travel Tips The studded belt will probaboy be fine. Worst case scenario, you wear it, it goes off, they'll use the little metal detecotr wand and they'll see it's your belt and they'll ask you to take it off while you go through the metal detector. Just don't bring anything sharp that could be used as a weapon. As for the liquid things you are allowed to bring (perfumes, lip glosses, liquid makeup, gels, toothpaste,etc) , the 3-1-1 rule applies. You can bring containers that are 3oz. or smaller. Whatever containers you bring, must be able to fit into a 1-quart sized clear zip-top bag (Don't use sandwich bags or anythign that doesn't have a ziploc type seal.). And you are allowed to bring 1 of these bags per person. The rules may differ somewhat when traveling from the UK, but whatever you bring with you, you'll need to get through security on your way home, so those are the rules for getting them back at least. :) If you are checking a bag, put all non-essential liquids in there for convenience. Check with your airline what kind of carry-ons they allow, but most of them will allow one carry-on luggage, and one personal type item- this includes anythign from a purse, to a laptop bag, even a blanket.
