Will the A380 mean cheaper tickets?

Travel Info
Also when are they coming into service on SYD-LAX?

Travel Tips
Qantas will get their A380s probably late 2008. And likely, things may stay exactly the same.

What WILL affect prices is Virgin Blue's entry into the Australia-US race, since they'll be acquiring 777-300ERs.

Others
It will mean more seats, but not cheaper seats. Airline demand is up anyway, and the routes that the A380 will fly are international routes, which can get more money per seat than domestic flights.
No - it is not - in fact it add more sophistication and luxury into your travel and that means more cost - so please don't expect any low fares or something like that...

But on the other side later in the future we can expect some cheaper price but only when all the airlines will start using A380 - as then we will have more seats and that will automatically have some affect on fares as well..

lets wait and see what happens..
I have a list of such airlines
There are many airlines offering cheap international flight tickets with good service.

no, it will just mean that they can carry more people and yeah maybe the tickets price might change but most likly not because now they have to pay for the aircraft so now they are going to have to make some money.
Great question. The YSSY-KLAX route is scheduled to begin within the next 2 years according to Qantas (QFA). They currently use the Boeing 747 between LAX and YSSY. However, if QFA decides to use both the A388 and the 744 to do their sydney route, then ticket prices on the 744 will go down considerably compared to now. But if QFA decides to replace to 744 altogether, then the A388 will reign and people will be forced to pay the extra $$$ just to fly on the new plane. But if they are a SMART airline, they will use different aircraft to do their flights. For example, KLM alternates between their MD11s and 747s between san francisco, leaving options open. QFA should act the same with the LAX route. Hope this helps!
