I want to travel to fiji?

Travel Info
how much would airfare cost round trip from New york

Travel Tips
When I went from Chicago to Fiji back in 1999, I booked three separate tickets.

The first ticket was round-trip from Milwauke to LAX (at the time, I saved about $100-$150 flying out of Milwaukee, and I was working close to the state line. This was done I think on Northwest Airlines.

I left enough connection time (about six to eight hours) at LAX for both legs to book a flight from LAX to Nadi Airport on Fiji with Air Pacific.

I also got a round-trip puddle-jumper flight on Sunflower Air from Nadi to Savusavu, because I needed to go from one island to another. Again, plenty of leeway. Sunflower was very accomodating and I could use the flight basically whenever I wanted.

All told, I believe I popped about $1,100 for the round-trip experience. It would have been $1,600 if I had booked it all on one ticket. I ran the risk of missing a flight (if my inbound LAX flight was delayed, my outbound seat would not be guaranteed and I'd have been hosed) but I gave enough leeway time to work around it.

Fiji is a great place!

probably 1500 on the cheap side...maybe 12-15k for 1st class.
The approximate cost of a roundtrip flight to Fiji from New York City would be $1,700 (US). It depends on when you want to travel and for how long. Use Expedia.com to search for flights or go to airline web sites directly. Good luck!

It's around $1500 to $2500 depending on what you want included on your ticket, such as additional stopovers and flexibility.

With international airfares it's best to check with a travel agency.

The official National "Fiji Tourism Bureau" would be able to assist and you can see their website and send them an email via here:

One thing, make sure you don't use a US based travel website to buy accommodation - you'll pay much more. They are great at US based bookings, but way too expensive for international bookings generally. Try someone with local deals and a help desk in the US, such as this example from Cheaper than hotels - Fiji:

Hope this helps - good luck with your plans
