I have booked a holiday online do I have a cooling off period? |
Travel Info The page kept coming up error, on going back a page I booked 7 days instead of 14. i contacted them immediately to report the error, and have emailed them twice and phoned them twice since, it is now nearly 3 weeks. Does anyone know where I stand on this. Travel Tips No you dont have a cooling off period. Do you have the paper work to prove you made an error? What did they say when you spoke to them? Is it one of the large tour operators? They are within their rights to charge you to amend or to cancel the holiday. Most uk ops will amend on the day free as they will be gaining. Have you had any correspodence from them? If not try contact the custiomer service dept. Unfortunatly as so much time has gone by you are stuck. I used to work in a travel agents so i am aware of the rules I know if we ever made that mistake we got it sorted on the day. You could try contacting ABTA if you have had no details from them or they are just not replying to you as this breaks one of their rules.
