I鈥檓 moving overseas and would like to know what kind of luggage I can take on the plane? |
Travel Info I have a sea chest to take with me it鈥檚 dimensions are 1000x600x600, can this be taken on a plane or will I need to have it shipped separately? Travel Tips That's obviously centimeters, 1 meter x 60 cm x 60 cm, or roughly 3' x 2' x 2'. If the airline will take a box this big--and not all will--you should pay the excess baggage fee to have it travel with you. This will be FAR FAR cheaper than shipping it--trust me; been there, done that, learned my lessons. But you must check with your airline, since rules vary, to see if the dimensions are within their size limit. Others I don't know the dimensions, but alligator luggage if at all possible that sounds too big to take carry-on WHEN YOU BUY YOUR TICKET THERE WILL BE SPECIFIC INFORMATION INCLUDED ABOUT YOUR LUGGAGE. YOU CAN GO ON YOUR CARRIERS WEB SITE AND GET THE INFORMATION. I don't know what 1000x600x600 is... Milimeters, inches, or what? Anyway It sounds too big to take on the plane. You can only have two suitcases and two carry ons. The suitcases cannot weigh over 50 lbs each or they will charge you extra. You will need to have it shipped separately. When traveling overseas you are allowed 2 50lb suitcases and a carry on. we are moving overseas in May and had to ship our larger stuff ahead of us. |
