I thought it was because they have to turn the lighting off so it would be dark if you shut them. I've never been told to do that. I've answered this question several times. The most basic and short answer is so that your eyes will be ajusted to the light outside, allowing you to evacuate the aircraft faster in the event of an emergency. It is also so you can see if there are any hazards you must be aware of when exiting the plane. |
