Will United or any other American carrier start service to Poland anytime soon from Chicago-O'Hare? |
Travel Info I know that Lot Poliahs Airlines flies to and from Chicago, but will an American carrier have the route? I know that Lot is in the Star Alliance and so is United. Also United serves almost all international destinations that other foreign, Star Allinace members serve out of Chicago. Travel Tips LOT not only serve Warsaw from Chicago, they also are on Krakow 4 days per week (3 days in low-season). The recent EU-US "Open Skies" agreement might be good news for new flights to Poland. Airlines are usually cautious on new routes, and typically will start a summer flight, and only keep it year-round if it does really well, sometimes reducing the number of flights to 3 or 4 weekly in the low season--much like LOT does on the Krakow flight. It's probably best to look to areas that have large Polish immigrant populations, such as Toronto (Canada, obviously, but LOT do serve it), possibly New York. If I recall, LOT had a Los Angeles flight about 5-6 years ago. Others Not very soon i thing they started to go to Greece this year.. Interesting.... why don't you go buy that United ticket to Greece, and tell us how that goes. |
