Is Continental the worst airline in the United States? |
Travel Info http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070330/ap_o... I have flown hundreds of thousands of miles and I have had some miserable times on planes and in airports. Continental is the only airline I have told the administrators at work to never book me on. The only airline I have ever had emergency landings on, Continental. The only airline I ever got stranded at an airport while flying on, Continental. The only airline I have ever heard a flight attendant start cussing at a passenger on, Continental. Several of my customers feel the same way about Continental. Worst airline ever, anyone else have horror stories about Continental? Travel Tips I had an emergency landing on America West flying into Anchorage, AK. I believe America West is probably the worst; however, I have never flown on Continental, I gues I should be glad I haven't. Others Honestly, every time you said "Continental" you could just as easily replace it with any other major airline, and it would still be true. ---- updated after reading your additional remarks The key word in my reply is "honestly." Here's one thing..I personally work for an airline (nondisclose) -Every airline has its faults.. period. From financial to passenger service to etc -however many categories there are one airline can fall in 1 or more categories. There is no airline that is the worst airline. If you can understand my shift here. Be happy you didn't fly JETBLUE (HAHAHA-no pun intended) NWA (HAHAHA-AGAIN NOT TO OFFEND)... Southwest-(no comment) Continental with United and Delta are the main players here for now (financially)...But again from any mainline to regional airline they all fall in some category somehow.... .. . There's no point in trying to make Continental look like the bad guys here without having the entire story. For all we know, the pilot put the girl off the plane because her cough made him concerned that she had TB. Wouldn't Continental be worse for letting a passenger with TB infect the rest of the plane? That stuff is VERY contagious! So I would recommend holding the opinions (and saving the Continental-bashing) till we have the rest of the details! PS. being examined by a doctor on the plane is no substitute for an actual doctor's visit. Otherwise doctors wouldn't have offices or labs, and we would just get our checkups on the street! Continental is the only airline that still feeds you with decent food. It is always going to be my first choice. As for the girl in the article, I believe continental did the right thing. Personally, I'm glad the pilot took the initiative to protect the other passengers from a potential hazardous and infectious disease that could cause serious problems down the road. Continental sucks for enough reasons, you don't need to make up more! |
