So airlines & pilots are playing God now? Isn't it pretty much a known fact that airplanes are one of the? |
Travel Info biggest breeding gorunds for germs, bacteria? They can't start trying to control people flying that are sick, have a cough, etc. Continental Sucks anyway & this just proves it!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/kitv/20070328/lo... Travel Tips Airline crews have always played "God". 90% of the time air crews are just there, not really bad but not making things any better. 9% of the time they are good to be around, helpful and really make the flight pleasurable. 1% of the time they are a miserable group to be around and the world would be a better place to be without them. I have flown 10K to 20K on Continental and in those few flights I have had two emergency landings, seen a flight attendant cuss at a passenger and once been stuck at an airport looking for another flight on a different airline. Never had any of those problems on any other airline. Sure, travel is always a pain, you have to give people some slack, but there comes a time when you stop using consistently bad service. I tell the administrators at work to never book me on Continental, it sucks. Others Yeah, some girl starts coughing uncontrollably and for the safety of everyone on board, the pilot wants her to be checked out by a doctor before flying. Sounds like a good move to me. Well what are they going to do - make everyone gargle with Listerine and take some anti-histamines before sitting down? Not only that, but she was 16. There was no need to treat her that way. If the parents push hard enough, they can hurt Continental with this one. Unless you were there how would you really know the whole situation. It must have been a very bad cough that they felt would not be good for her to expose other passengers to for hours in recycled air. She obviously appeared ill enough with the coughing ,it drew attention to her. The flu shares cold symptoms of a common cold. Could you tell the difference.? It is also not good for anyone to fly with a cold because of the pressure changes with elevation. I believe the airlines acted in the best interests of the majority and I feel they did the right thing. They also paid all her expenses because of her delay in flight. Yes, as a flight attendant for a major airline I happen to agree with the pilots call to remove the passenger. Loud coughing is disruptive not to mention the spreading of illness to others. At all times the captain and crew have the right to decide how flies on their flight and who doesn't........ She could have become seriously ill in flight and then an unscheduled landing would mess with everyones travel plans! how are they playing god? i dont see any proof of them playing god in this artical. and the airline an do what it wants to do for the safety of the other paying customers. yep through the bugger off the plane that will stop the sod spreading germs. hopefully he will land in the ocean. and get pneumonia, and die. |
