Can you buy open ended flight tickets anymore? Where from? |
Travel Info Can you buy open ended flight tickets anymore? Where from? Travel Tips Yes it is very expensive. Any full fare ticket is an open ended ticket. Do they sell opened ended tickets somewhere between full fare and discounted fare anymore? It is not called that anymore, but technically almost every ticket (even deep discounted ones) are changeable; for a price. I think it was a policy shift to make things easier to manage. For a price (usually $100 + difference in price of ticket for the day you fly) you can get your flight changed. Others I haven't come across an agent that have... but my advice.. is to look up flights, and call the company to ask . By doing so.. you can compare the costs of flights.. and perhaps find a better deal :) In some markets you can - but usually its a full fare ticket which can be very expensive - Now many people just buy a 1 way. Usually its still cheaper to buy and round trip and pay the service fee to change it - although when doing this you have to make sure that there are not any maximum stay restrictions on that fare. I just got one last week, but it's within the country where I'm living. I don't know if the large airlines still do this. |
