Packing prescriptions for airline travel?

Does anyone know if I can carry on samples of prescription drugs my doctor gave me? Will airport security make me throw them away? I don't want to have to lug the big bottles.

You shouldn't have a problem. I fly all the time with my meds and I've never had security look at them or ask me to remove them from my bag. Always make sure you carry your meds with you and not check them. You never know when your flight or bags may be delayed. Source(s): Frequent traveler.

Of course you can. Or you can just take what you need from the big bottles and put them into one little bottle or a ziploc bag (as long as you know which are which).
