ID check for an * year old...? |
Travel Info My daughter will be going to Florida during April vacation. I was wondering if she will need an ID such as her birth certificate to board the plane. I didn't buy the ticket so I am just curious what she will need to get on the plane. Travel Tips I work at an airport. I think ID requirements are the same for all airlines. Well, I don't see any reason they would be different. Anyways, we only require ID for people 18 and over. For people 17 and under we do not require an ID. Basically, the parent is vouching for the child. She'll be flying alone? Just in case you haven't already, check to make sure your daughter's grandmother checked into the requirements for a child flying alone. We've had people come to the ticket counter who bought the ticket online and didn't know that there was an additional fee for children flying as 'unaccompanied minors.' At 8, where I work, the fee would be $50 per flight (one way) and there would be some paperwork. Just so you're not surprised at the airport. And you'll probably need your ID to get a gate pass to take her to the gate. Others a passport She prombley needs a ticket and that's all she needs. I think you should buy her a ticket soon. I f you don't get her a ticket she prombley will not be able to get on the airplane. |
