Flying while pregnant with tahiti airlines? |
Travel Info Has anyone flown while being 28weeks pregnant with tahiti airlines? I am unsure of their rules and regulations. I'm an australian travelling to America. Travel Tips It is perfectly safe to fly in your first and second trimesters. I flew a long haul flight from the US to Africa when I was 3 months and now my son is a healthy and happy 5 year old. Airline regulations state: Obstetrical patients are free to fly, but pose a significant risk in later stages of precipitating delivery during flight. Pregnancy past 32 weeks should be carefully considered for restriction from flight and must be accompanied with an authorization note from a doctor. Those past 36 weeks should be prohibited from flying unless personally accompanied by their doctor. Other Travel Tips Rule: Don't drop your baby from the plane. You're about 7 months pregnant and flying from Australia to the USA? I just don't get some people. This, to me, sounds like such a bad idea that I can't believe people even seriously entertain it. |
