Is anyone else concerned about airport security? |
Travel Info Yesterday, coming through the Atlanta airport was beyond ridiculous. Forget the bad attitudes and horrible airline employees...I have come to expect that, sadly. But when we deplaned, we were on the tarmac (the canvas jetways they use) and nobody was at any of the entry/exit points. I was the first one off the plane, so I had to move the barricade myself going into the building. Later, when boarding my plane, same thing. I had to guess which plane I was going to. There were openings at every turn leading to open cargo areas on the planes!!! I have known for a long time that we aren't safe, still...but this was beyond me. Any other similar experiences or suggestions? (no point in contacting Delta, they don't care and will never hear from them) Travel Tips What you witness on the ramp in Atlanta is totally unacceptable and does not comply with FAA law. Whenever people board a plane via tarmac there must be a airline employee or TSA supervising the ramp area where there are people boarding or deboarding a flight. If this law is not followed it results in a $5000 fine for the airline. You're right i wouldnt report this to the airline, they would simply aplogize and try to cover it up. Make a report to U.S. Homeland Security, they will send someone to investigate and watch to make sure all SIDA areas are secure.
