Is the CRJ-200 the most uncomfortable jet in US commercial aviation today?

Travel Info
Just had the experience of flying in a United Express Canadair 200. What an uncomfortable little plane. Seats too small, window seats too close to the wall, window too low to look out anywhere but down. Give me Embraer any time!

Travel Tips
Absolutely.... even the other CRJs are better than the -200 series.

And I would take an Embraer over a Canadair... heck, I'd rather take most commercial prop planes (Saab 340, Dash 4 or 8).

(Safety is not a factor... one thinking it is just because it's small is naive).

Others
Yup, it sucks.
Agreed. Its a pretty cramped setup. I think the worst sets are the ones in the very back next to the lav. No recline and you're stuck smelling that lovely "perfume water".

The UA ExPlus CRJ's are a little better if you have status and can get into the Economy Plus or First Class seats but its still pretty tight.
Embraers are a little more comfortable. But remember that the CRJ was based on a business jet, the Challenger.
Still, I try to avoid any RJ ( except the E-170-90-95) on flights of 2 hours or more.
They really shouldn't use those planes for long flights. Probably not even that safe, and takes a long time to get there. For short flights less than an hour, I can tolerate a lot.
