Travel Info Do I need an ID since I am not with my parents or do I not need one Travel Tips Hello, I am 14. I have flown many times. you will not need any ID, just your boarding pass. but do know they won't treat you any differently at security because you are a minor. they made me take off my shoes, and go through the medal detector twice, it was crazy! Others I don't believe minors are required to have identification, especially when traveling with an adult. Most minors don't have government identification which is why it isn't required. call the airline and find out what you need. i had the same question. just bring your school id in case but you most likely wont need it. have fun on your trip. hey im 13 and going on a plane to on the 30th! im going to mexico! Anyways if your parent(s)/gaurdian(s) arent comming with you, you will need a notorized letter from both of them, thats what I needed when I went out of the country with out them. Also check with the airlines to make sure what all you need because that would suck to not go because you didnt come prepared. It depends. I would definitely check with your airline. For Domestic flights I don't think that you need anything, but as mentioned before a school ID might be helpful. But if its an International flight you need a passport. |
