I have never flown. Can someone tell me some of the basic regulations nowadays for airports? |
Travel Info And also--have you ever heard of US Airways and is it a large airline? Travel Tips www.tsa.gov Yes it is a fairly large airline. Also some hints.....when packing your suitcase, roll your clothes, they take up less space that way. Make sure you use a one quart baggie to keep your liquids in for your carry on. The container must be the original liquid container and the container must hold no more than 3 oz. Make sure your suitcase is not overweight...I am going to Europe within the next week or so and my suitcase cannot weight more than 44 lbs and cannot be bigger than 54 in (width + length + depth) - this can usually be found on the luggage tag that tells of the features when you bought your luggage...make sure you take into consideration the expansion capabilities. THEY CHARGE BIG FEES FOR OVERWEIGHT BAGS!! Also, my carry on is not allowed to be more than 11 pounds and no bigger than 39 inches (width + depth + length) - you should also be able to find this on the same tag as your suitcase. If you are going to take food or liquids on the flight, I suggest just buying them after you get through the baggage checks at the airport. These will be allowed on the plane. On the TSA site, there is a list of what is and isn't allowed in carry ons and checked luggage. I definitely suggest checking it out. Also regulations are always changing due to security issues so check this list a few days before travel. If you are a female try buying stick foundation instead of liquid for in your carry on because it doesnt take up precious space in your quart sized baggie. Avoid lip gloss and go with solid chapsticks, etc. Others ...What's to it? You just walk onto the plane, sit down and get ready for take off. Everything you need to know is in the link below. just arrive extra early just incase there are a lot of people at the airport. security screening takes forever nowadays. US Airways is a large airline, but their service differs on how long your flight is. Next time you fly try continental. their service is the best ever since US carries started downsizing their service. I'm 15 and travel alot. http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/travelers/airtrav... Like the guy who already commented, the www.tsa.gov website is great for information, as is the website for whichever airline you are taking. You could also check out the website of the airport you are taking off from and maybe even the airport at your destination. I'm (teenage) frequent flier and "globe trotter" lol |
