Can I bring food on the plane?

Not to eat on a plane, but like bring it to relatives. Its savories here from MN, they dont have labels on them but are packaged in the large food saver bags. They're mainly meat products and are frozen. O also I'll be going from Minneapolis Intl. to Miami Intl. (If that makes a difference on how strict they are) Thanks :)

Yes there are no restrictions other than carry on. Pack them in your luggage and there should be no problem at all. I do this all the time. You are traveling domestically so there should be no problems at all. If you try and carry them on the plane as carry on, they are subject to search.

Cautionary tale:

A knew a girl that packed a frozen turkey in a bag to bring on a plane to Thanksgiving dinner. The airline "lost" her bag. She reported it to the airline but told them NOT to send the bag to her if it was ever found. This worried the airline because they were afraid there was a bomb in it. She explained no, there's a turkey defrosting in it and by the time you find it the bag will stink.

Well the airline thought this was a ploy to make them find the bag faster so they sent the bag anyway when it was found. Yuck to say the least! Even if your bag isn't lost extensive delays could still mean you arrive with rotten food and a ruined bag.
Because my mother in law brings us goodies from home each time she visits, I know that you have to place the liquids into your checked baggage but other items may be placed into the carry-on. If you are using dry ice for meats, check with your airline but I believe it should be checked baggage.
