Airplane and cell phone question plz help? |
Travel Info i thought u have to turn off ur phone. do u know if u can text and play games on the plane. or no because i thought u just cant talk on it. and do u know if there is a plug on the airplane to charge a laptop or anything? Travel Tips If you want to play a game on the plane, bring a separate player that doesn't involve a phone. My own view is that the concern over cell phones is much overblown, but there is no need to get the cabin crew people upset with you. Power outlets are rare to nonexistent; I have never seen one. Others Your phone is supposed to be off. I saw on myth-busters that it really doesnt matter but as far as the airlines are concerned you need to keep it off. It all depends what plane you are on if there would be a charger for your laptop. If for instance you are on a new 777 the answer would be yes. If you are on something out of the mid 80s, probably not. Hi guys - I used to work for the FAA at their test center in Atlantic City. At one time we were testing just FM radios against navigation instruments, and did find problems. Parts of the FM radio radiate and can give the pilot wrong bearing indications. If a lousy radio can do that, you can imagine what a cell fone can do. It's ok with laptops, but I've never run across charging outlets. Sorry. No you cannot. http://paramountairways.info/ |
