Why does Delta Airlines treat their customers so poorly? |
Travel Info I was bumped from First Class back to coach due to an "equipment change" and when I called Delta customer service to get my SkyMiles back, they said the Gate Agent documented that I chose to fly coach "voluntarily" and would not get back the Skymiles I used for a first class ticket. I am not sure how to proceed at this point, although I will NEVER buy another flight on Delta after this experience. Travel Tips You know, Delta has always been really good to me but you just never know. Your problem is really annoying - you work and plan these trips to get a first class ride and they screw up and stick you in the cattle car class. You really need to complain to these folks a whole lot and loudly. Keep going up the ladder and keep stating your case as voraciously as possible. They may see the error of their ways. On another but similar note, I flew Thai Air from Bangkok to Brisbane, Australia and got zero mileage credit. When I complained, they wanted me to send all my boarding passes and ticket stubs. They conveniently lost them and when they found them (and here comes the beauty part), they said because it was 6 months after the flight, I would not get any miles. And they had lost the stuff for 4 months!! I will never fly Thai again. Others Sorry, but there is no such thing as "the friendly sky's" anymore. All airlines suck when it comes to customer satisfaction and none even know how to spell "courtesy" anymore let alone show any. I had the same thing happen before they went through Chapter 11. Although I was a platinum level, I stopped using them altogether because of too many problems dealing with them during their tailspin into bankruptcy. It looks like it still a problem. I'm also a million miler on American Airlines but I fly Continental (Silver Level). Much better service but I notice almost all the airlines are cutting back in service, house cleaning on planes, or something so that I really don't like to fly any of them whether it's first class/business or coach. Best seat is on the Flight Deck anymore! And you have to be a pilot to do that! |
