Can i take my guitar to america (and back) on a plane as hand luggage? |
Travel Info I remember you used to be able to but can you still do it what with 9/11 and those failed bombings last year or whenever it was Travel Tips you can but when you go thru security all you will have to do is to take it out of the case and they check it in the scanner... but otherwise you can Others i would say yes,the worst thing they will do is to take it in as they do strollers and car seats right before they board.They have a place they put things like that up front instead of putting it overhead. Ask the airline or get your travel agent to check. A guitar will definitely exceed the allowable cabin luggage dimensions, even if it is in the cabin baggage weight limit for most airlines. Like you, I can remember when it was permitted, but I cannot recall seeing large musical instruments in the cabin for over a decade. Frequent flyer yes |
