Traveling tomorrow... please help?

I am traveling tomorrow with someone who is deathly afraid of flying. Anything I can do to make it more bearable on the both of us? The flight is around three hours.

Tell that someone to take some Xanax. It's an anexiety drug. If you don't have any, just rattle statistics that shows that flying is far safer than driving.

I did that for my father who is also deathly afraid of flight. When I showed him numbers that showed that more people will die in a car wreck going to the airport than the actual plane ride, he suddenly realized that there's nothing scary about flying.

More advice would be to tell them about the flight. Like my dad didn't know why we hit turbulence or what causes it. Since I'm a pilot also, by me telling him what all the bumps and weird noised planes make, he was more relaxed.

I sure hope you're not travel ling internationally , it's not a good time. I hate flying but I measure my fear versus my wanting to go somewhere. Some people's fear is stronger, my desire to travel is stronger. My Mom has never flown and never will, her fear is stronger. I do not support telling people to fly if they're scared. That is THEIR decision, not mine. And any fool knows that statistics are twisted. More people die in cars than planes. But you check to see how many car accidents have survivors versus planes???? sorry I probably didn't help
try and get his mind of the fact he is in the air, try reading, watching movies or anything to keep his mind busy.

drink plenty of wine...that'll keep him sleeping soundly for a short flight...
