We are using midway. Usually, the further in advance you get airline tickets, the better deal you can get. You can find a list of cheap travel sites at http://www.travelbargainsites.com... We've always gotten the best prices from working directly with the airline websites. You can compare prices between different airlines that travel to the same place. Note, that cheaper tickets in general usually will entail a layover somewhere and perhaps changing planes. It depends on where you are going. Try Southwest or US air for the cheapest. We ALWAYS fly Continental, but they are not the cheapest. However, we find its worth it to pay for a direct flight and to avoid the delays and cancellations that seem to be the MO for those "other" airlines. Good luck! Generally, it is much cheaper to purchase sale fares in well in advance. 90 to 21 days in advance is usually best; inside 21 days, and the cheapest fare classes no longer apply; more than 90, and you'll probably miss a good sale.
