Frontier Airlines?

Travel Info
I am looking to fly from Denver to Minneapolis in about a month. I see Frontier advertising really cheap rates all the time, but of course, now that I am looking I can't find any! So does anybody know if Frontier will be having a sale anytime soon? Are there any patterns to when they have sales, or is it random?

I just don't want to pay full price today and then next week the fare goes down.

Thanks for your help!

check out www.farecast.com

it can help predict (usually 70% accurate) as to when is the best time to buy your tickets.

also, if you do not mind flying a different airline, i'd check out www.kayak.com
it will list many different airlines and their prices.

best of luck to you.

Make friends with your local travel agent.

Airlines run specials all the time. Agents are able to see what's on sale and the restrictions that need to be followed in order to achieve the special rate. Travel agents also have the ability to see all of the airlines, where when contacting an airline directly they are only able to give you information about their specific airline, and they aren't about to tell you that one of their competitors has a better rate.

Typically it is no more expensive to go through a travel agent that to work with the airline directly. There is a percentage of commission that will be paid. Either the airline keeps it, or they pay it to the travel agent.

I was a travel agent for over 10 years, and while I have been out of the business for sometime, I can tell you that a good travel agent can be your best friend. I had regular clients that would tell me where they wanted to go and when. If I saw a special that would be beneficial to them I would give them a call with the news.

BTW.... Travel agents do not have the ability to tell when fares are going to drop in price. You have to do some home work too.
You don't need a travel agent for a simple roundtrip. They charge service fees typically $25 to $50 per airline ticket, and they don't have to search the best price. You're better off booking direct from the airline in this case.

Sun Country Airlines is actually coming up about $50 cheaper than Northwest and Frontier currently. They don't show up in many 3rd party bookings (including traditional travel agents). http://www.suncountry.com

These should also help you get the absolute best price: http://www.farecompare.com/search/year.h... and http://www.bookingbuddy.com
Frontier is really strong in the Western region especially in Denver (it is their main hub). I cannot speak for sales on Frontier but usually prices during the summer months are at their peak.

Of course if flights are empty then prices will go down (but not a lot). However, seeing how this is peak travel time, I recommend booking flights now as prices will dramatically increase if booking within 14 or 7 days of flight.

I don't see prices dropping till late August. International flights are even worst now.
