Is it safe to bring a wooden (Grenadilla/African Blackwood) clarinet on an airplane?

Travel Tips
Depends on what you mean by safe. If by safe you mean allowed, then yes. All musical instruments are allowed on airplanes. Check the TSA's website for more info. If by safe you mean will the wood be damaged, the answer is no, especially if you carry it in the cabin with you, which would be the best thing to do.
Others
Only in checked luggage. A clarinet should make an excellent blow gun.
yes probably just as long as u dont use it as a weapon
It should, but don't put it in your checked luggage, it could get damaged there. Take it with you in your carry-on, TSA and the airlines see tons of musical instruments on a daily basis.
My brother-in-law used to work for TSA.
