Is it okay to pack snacks on a cary on for a LONG plane ride?

Travel Info
I DO NOT like airplane food so is it okay if I back a bagel or crackers in my backpack?

Travel Tips
Any food items are permitted on board the aircraft. You can bring some liquids as long as they are 3.4 ounces and smaller contained within a 1 quart (sandwich size) ziplock bag. If you want to have bottles of water or juice, then just make sure that you purchase it after you have already gone through the security screening area. There are certain items that are permitted for medical reasons and for infants. the TSA website has a lot of great inforamtion on what to and not to pack at www.tsa.gov
Others
pack all the snacks you like, just not liquids
I think it really depends on the plane your on. All the planes I've been aloow food and such. And even if your not they dont look in your bag (security does but not the people on the flight). So I woud say you can! My family does this everytime we have to fly. We dont like the plane food and they serve drinks on the plane.
Yes, you can pack those. Just make sure no lunch meats, fruit, jello or any liquids.
Frequent flyer
You can, but all food, with the exception of fruit with unbroken skin, must be wrapped.
