The verve of the left bank, Notre Dame, especially if you can attend a service. Food just about anywhere except tourist restaurants! (My favorite: a crepe everyday for lunch.) A ride on the Seine in a bateau mouche. Walking through the Marais. Visiting the Louvre, d'Orsay and Cluny (Moyen Age) museums. Enjoy an afternoon in the Luxembourg gardens. Experience the excitement of the 'beach' (a new innovation--in summer they line parts of the Seine with sand to make you feel you are at the beach!).
