I think you are best to leave it at home. Regardless of where you are going, you are in an unfamiliar place and never know what you may decide to do. It is better to be safe than sorry. I think I would rather leave it at home so I know right where it is. I would recommend, however, wearing another ring while on vacation. I always wear a ring and I find when I don't have it my hand feels funny. Especially if you are used to wearing the ring all the time, you will think about it and think you lost it, it is just better not to have to worry about it.
