Are you flying from the same airport? Or taking a Eurostar. If the latter, you'll need the visa.
India could be a special case. If you're flying on AirIndia, you better check with the airline. Last year I flew from Newark to Paris on AirIndia and the airline personnel was checking passports upon landing in Paris still aboard the plane.
