Travel Info Where are reasonable places to shop in Paris? Travel Tips I live in Los Angeles and we've had huge demonstrations for 2 days here too. Life goes on. So far there haven't been any reasons to fear trouble. All the demonstrations here or in Paris have been lawful and under control. I doubt that there will be any generalized riots or anything like that. Keep an eye on it but go about your business if you were planning to travel. As far as shopping, the whole area surrounding Les Halles is a good bet, starting with the mall itself (inside Les Halles; metro station by the same name). Boulevard Saint Michel in the Quartier Latin can be interesting too. But as you wander around you'll notice other great shopping opportunities all over the place. Even Champs Elysees shops have amazing sales all the time. Don't be afraid to explore. Source(s): Grew up there.
