Is it difficult to take pictures of the Effiel Tower at night with a digital camera? |
Travel Info My digital camera doesnt take pictures of things that are far away at night because the flash can only work to things close by. Do you reccommend a disposable camera? Travel Tips Here is my advice to take good night pictures with your digital camera: - On your fist day in Paris, note the time when public lighting is lit. This will give you a good idea of when to start shooting - start shooting when the sky is still blue. Stop when it gets too dark. - use a tripod. Without it you will either get digital noise or blurry pictures. If you cannot bring a full sized tripod with you, either get a small one or buy a cheap one in a FNAC (and resell it at a cash and carry before leaving) - stay at low ISOs: 50 to 200 maximum to avoid digital noise - beware color temperature shifts. I generally shoot in raw to adjust it later, but your camera may have good behaviour in automatic mode. As was previousely mentioned, small lights make the tower glitter 10 minutes at the start of every night hour. Here is a view with it: http://www.offrench.net/photos/pictures/... And another without: http://www.offrench.net/photos/pictures/... There is also a beacon on top of the tower. If you shoot at the right time, you will get it in your photo. http://www.offrench.net/photos/pictures/... One last word: according to the Eiffel tower official website, you can freely publish day views of the tower, but night photos are subject to copyright. http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk/pra... |
