What French people felt about WWI? |
Travel Info What French people felt about WWI? Travel Tips if you mean, what did the French think about WWI at the time of the war (1914-1919), I think that they were ambitious at first, as was every country. The French felt that the war would be quick and decisive against the Germans. Nobody expected the war to drag on for years. After the system of trench warfare developed and perfected itself, No one liked the war. The French especially, because it was being fought for the most part in France. The war was destroying the North and East parts of the country, and many fields and crops were lost along with the civilians that lived there. By the end of the war, no one wanted to fight anymore, because they had forgotten what they were even fighting for. Does that help? |
