Travel Info I am going to travel to Europe at the end of April. I will stay 2 days in Paris but I am not afraid about the things that happen there but for the strikes. What If I get stuck at the airport and I cannot go to the other country???

I was thinking very similar things earlier this week, as I too had been watching the news. However, after talking to some people who were actually living in Paris my boyfriend and I decided to still go to Paris. We stayed in a hotel within the "Zone 1" Metro area and got Metro passes to see the city easily. We visited everywhere that we wanted to. From the Eifel Tower, Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and yes even the Latin Quarter. We did not experience any problems whatsoever. In fact, if I hadn't seen the news I would have had no idea that anything was out of the ordinary. From what I've gathered, (and we all already knew to some extent) the news sensationalizes everything. Of course if you were to see large crowds gathering together it would probably be a good idea to avoid those areas- but the only large crowds we saw were those with tour groups. :-) No problems at all.
