It's a gorgeous city if you take the time to look past the dirt and grime. The Eiffel tower isn't as awesome as you would expect, but you have to see it for yourself. The Louvre is GREAT! Make sure to go to the village of Montmarte to see Sacre Coure, Champs-Elysee as well as Arc de Triomphe and the Parisian opera house.
