I'm thinking about staying in the Latin district of Paris is it a good choice and close to attractions?

Travel Tips
Yes, it is a charming area if you don't mind older hotels with their limitations. If you are an energetic walker, you can get to many popular attractions (e.g. Notre Dame, Louvre, Musee D'Orsay) in 30-45 or so brisk minutes from most parts of the quarter.

However, Paris is geographically large. No matter where you end up staying you will probably want to take the metro to some sites.
