Whats the cheapest way to do a drive tour of the south of France (biarritz & st tropez)& i live in cornwall uk |
Travel Info Shopuld I fly & hire a car? Get the ferry to Cherbourg/roscoff. There are only two of us? Travel Tips Buy a cheap car and drive yourself. We got a 450pound Rover Metro and did 5000miles around Europe. Then, we sold it for 350pounds. That way you can do what you want. Then, you should camp because camping is by far the cheapest option for accommodation in Europe, especially France. The sites are usually good and won't be more than 20euro per night. (Unless it's a posh place so maybe St Tropez). You will love it! It's so much fun and there are camp sites everywhere. We stayed just near Nice for three nights and it was great. Beach, wine, food... You can get really cheap ferry prices if you go in the middle of the night. You just order online. I think our return trip cost something like 50pounds - so cheap! Then, you take your sleeping bag up on deck and lie down on one of the big couches. Trust what I say - we camped around Europe for Three months! you can look for a car on gumtree.co.uk or fish4cars. GOOD LUCK! Source(s): My experience Other Travel Tips |
