Please recommend a good hotel in Nice?

We will be holidaying along the French riviera in July and seek recommendations on good hotels in which to stay in Nice. This will be our base from which to travel and see the sights along the riviera. Price range not more than 250 dollars (200 euro's)

When we went to Nice last year we stayed at Meyerbeer Beach Hotel (more a backpackers than a hotel) and it was just the best for everything - location (50 metres away from the beach and they give you beach mat to use), price, friendliness, facilities (your own kitchenette), internet (free), free tourist info, free hair dryer, laundry, bike hire, security lockers, 24 hour recorded surveillance, guest kitchen, common room, pets accepted, discount bus tours, discount car/bike hire, free soft drinks/tea/coffee/biscuits all day, multilinguil staff, cheap breakfast, easy access to train station, all the night clubs 1 minute from your door. Need I say more. The rooms are approximately 70 to 90 Euros per night but may be cheaper for more nights.
