Looking for the best guide books for London and France, any advice? |
Travel Info I decided to splurge this summer and go to London and France. So I really need to get myself some guidebooks, but looking at all the options it makes it hard to decide. I believe that Frommers and Eyewitness are the best options. I want something new, up to date. I'd like ideas of attractions, costs, places to eat, etc. I would like to keep prices down, so if it is budget friendly that is great I also would like something that will help me. This is my first out of country trip, so I'm scared, excited nervous... I don't know what to do about adapters, converters, currency, etc. So if it has this info that would be good. What are your opinions on the best books that will get me all the info I need. I don't need the info on hotels to be good, I've already taken care of that. So the other info is the most important to me. Thanks! Travel Tips Rick Steves is definitely the way to go! Lonely Planet guide books are excellent, but I found them to be more helpful for accommodations and less informative for site seeing. Rick Steves will have all the information you are looking for about safety, converters, customs, etc. He also has excellent information about the sites you will see and provides excellent walking tours. |
