How can i make sure luggage checkers dont take my stuff? |
Travel Info im going to be traveling soon, and i've heard of many cases where people that check your luggage take stuff that they think looks cool for "security reasons". i'm going to be buying stuff in a place that i dont go to very often, adn im really worried! how can i prevent this??? Travel Tips You can stay and watch your luggage while they are checking it. Most of the time, they don't even go through it, unless something suspicious is in there. Some airports, this will take longer than others. But if you really don't want them to take it, just stay by as they do it. Have a lock on the luggage and if they need to get in, you can unlock it, most airports will allow this. If it is something valuable, consider just carrying it on. Hopefully the item can be used as a carry-on and is small enough. This will be the best way. Finally, you could ship the item home. It may cost a little more, but you could insure it and have more confidence. But don't be too concerned. These people are there to do a job, if they would be caught doing something like that they would probably lose their job. The airport wants people to be safe and that is the main concern of the TSA. I'm sure it happens once and a while, but I wouldn't be too concerned. Just keep any valuables, like jewlery and such, as a carry-on. Have a great trip! |
