Is Paris the most beautiful city in the world or yet another traffic-filled dump of rude, selfish people? |
Travel Info I've been there many times, on my hitch-hiking travels thru Europe, and the French hate it too! But is that just because everyone hates their own backyard?? What do *you* think? How do *you* feel? Travel Tips Paris is both. When you live in or near Paris, you generally both hate it and love it. I do. I hate the trafic, especially the guys that park their SUV anywhere, the agressive and selfish behaviours of some parisians, the tramps that pee everywhere, the dog owners, the arrogant youths from the "banlieues", the constant works on buildings and streets. But when I roam the quays of the Seine on a warm Summer night with my tripod and camera, looking for sights, I really enjoy Paris and I feel I am surrounded by people feeling the same way and having a great time. Night hides the ugliest aspects of the city, leaving only gorgeous buildings beautifully lit and reflected on the Seine which is covered by boats full of people partying.
