Are there any big residential houses there? Or residences for the affluent? Maybe 20 rooms or more?

not around Termini really. Most everything around there is motels and small hotels with a lot of transients and immigrants. I have heard its not the safest area to live in. Your best bet is around Via Veneto (the Barberini metro stop)...its pretty ritzy on Via Veneto, but that whole area there is good, in and around the Trevi fountain area also
