Travel Tips
As BShocker1 mentioned, using a book or an on-line travel guide is one of the best ways to make sure that you don't miss anything. I recommend purchasing a book before you go and reading through it to see what places YOU would like to see before you go. Always on the Top list of places to visit in Rome are: The Colosseum, The Roman Forum, The Mouth of Truth, The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Vatican City, Piazza del Popolo (which leads to a huge gardens with thousands of fountains), Spanish Steps. Don't forget while you are walking around that all of the water in the fountains is drinkable, so you should NEVER have to buy a water in Italy. As for hotels, look for something close to the subway, which is the easiest way to get around the city. My personal favorite area to stay is near the Termini Rail Station, it has commuter rail, commercial train, and subway systems that all stop there. And as for eating, pick somewhere off of one of the main squares or off of via del Corso and you will have a fantastic meal without having to pay an arm and a leg. I hope that you have a wonderful time on your trip to the most beautiful country in the world: Italia!
