Is Italy - Rome in particular - pet friendly? |
Travel Info Please tell me your experiences with pets there or if you've seen any pets on the streets, how they treat pets, anything at all that would be helpful! Thanks! Travel Tips Accommodations are usually pet friendly but the smaller the pet the more likely it will be accepted in hotels. Italians love their pets. You will see people out with their dogs all over Rome. Many are not even on leashes but they won't stray from their owners. They are, for the most part, very well behaved and rarely bark. Don't be shocked to see a dog in a store or at outside eating at restaurants. Many places that don't allows pets inside have hooks near the entrance that allows owners to hook their pet's leasch to the wall while they pop in and shop. |
