I'm looking at rental car agencies, and some are in the airport, and others (Thrifty) say they are in the Terminal, but then also say they are in Borgo Panigale. I cannot find any maps that show proximity however. I need to know if I can get to the rental counter easily!

I would say it is approx 2-3Km from the airport. If you look at this map you can see where Borgo Panigale is exactly in relation to the airport and Bologna city center.
