BELLA ROMA! Ciampino airport to Termini station - how long is the journey? |
Travel Info My ryanair flight arrives in rome at 4pm this friday and i need to be at my hostel by 6:30pm or no entry. The email i got from the hostel says there's a bus every half hour to termini. How long does the journey take? and do you buy tickets from bus? is there normally a huge queue? how much does it cost? any advice would be helpful as i think i'll be pushed for time and really cant afford to miss the arrival time at hostel. Oh and should anyone happen to know the time it takes on the metro from termini to cavour? that would a massive help too. Grazie Travel Tips Ok, we flew Easyjet so we had the same problem. The buses are right outside the airport, and when the bus gets there, someone comes off the bus to sell you tickets, and the tickets are very cheap, maybe 2 euros or something. There is normally not a huge wait, we got on the first bus, no problem. You can store your luggage and everything. The bus ride is about 40 minutes or so, and there is a metro to Cavour from Termini at least every five minutes or so.Buy metro tickets at any of the Tabakki(tobacco) shops in Termini. When you get out from the bus, go underground and follow signs for metro line b and get on it towards Laurentina. Cavour is the first stop, about 4-5 minutes away. So depending on when the bus gets in, it should be no more than a hour to an hour and a half to Cavour from Ciampino. I hope this is helpful, and enjoy your time in Rome! (The metros can be crowded, so you may have to wait a little longer to get a spot, and watch out for pickpockets on the metros!) |
