The top of the Spanish Steps isn't really a single destination, as you seem to believe (at least the way I interpret your question). You're just getting to another level of the city. At the top, if you look straight ahead, is the Trinita dei Monti church and also Sacro Cuore school. To the right is the Hotel Hassler, which is considered one of the nicest hotels in Rome, plus many others buldings, streets, etc. Like I said, more of the city. If you walk about a half a mile to the left, there's Villa Borghese, which is a very nice park in the middle of Rome. |
